BIOGRAPHY
Lisa Williams

Lisa Williams is an experienced holistic therapist and teacher of yoga, meditation and stress management. After completing her BA (Hons.) in Social Psychology at the University of Sussex, U.K., she went on to train in Holistic Massage, Anatomy and Physiology at the Wilbury School of Natural Therapy in Hove, East Sussex, gaining an I.T.E.C. (Distinction), and then in Advanced Massage from the Equilibrium Centre in Lewes, East Sussex.. She has a 200 hour teacher's certificate (recognised by the Yoga Alliance) from the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashram in Tyrol, Austria. She has taught both group and private classes, from beginners to advanced, in Grenada, St.Vincent, London, Surrey and Edinburgh. She gained her Reiki (II) practitioner level in London from Buddhist nun Sama Helen Jeffries. Her classes have been featured on the BBC Holiday programme and she has received glowing reviews from Vogue (UK), The Times, and The Financial Times.

What Definitive Caribbean had to say about Lisa

Whether you are a stressed-out city type, a full time parent, or someone just trying to enjoy their retirement, it can be hard to find the time or space to unwind in the modern world. Sometimes a little help can come in handy. This is where Lisa Williams comes in. Lisa is a British/Grenadian therapist who trained in the UK and now lives and practices from her home in Petite Martinique, the Grenadian island next door to Petit St Vincent.

Lisa will visit you at your cottage, discuss in confidence what you feel you need to tackle, and devise an individual programme to suit your needs. Lisa works at a holistic level so she will begin with a Lifestyle Evaluation so that you both become aware of your mental, physical and emotional health, before setting goals and offering techniques such as meditation, stress management and yoga for the duration of your stay and as long as you care to use them to resolve any issues that come up.

Meditation can involve breath work and the use of sound to improve your level of connectedness with your surroundings. Stress Management teaches you to prevent and control the amount of stress in your life by visualising priorities and choices as well as practicing effective time management. Yoga works physically to strengthen and tone your body, but also to nurture your emotional health and is just as suitable for beginners as it is long term practitioners. The setting of the cottages at Petit St Vincent, with their views of the Atlantic, cool ocean air and the background wash of the waves on the reef, is perfect to help you pursue these activities.

True Blue Summer News May 2010

Very Welcome Rain!
After the longest dry season we can remember Grenada is finally getting some rain this May. Our gardens are starting to look better and the whole of Grenada is getting back its lovely lush green look. The drought in the Eastern Caribbean islands this year was very severe, so we are extremely happy to have a bit of rain. If you are coming on holiday some time soon, don't worry, the rain only last for few minutes and then we have our much loved sunshine back. Unfortunately we have lost several trees to the drought; these will be replaced as soon as young trees are available from the local nursery.

Myles Pesky Friends Book Launch

Now available in Grenada:
“MYLES’ PESKY FRIENDS”

A tale of friendship, trust, and sharing. Set in Grenada, this kids book chronicles the
relationship between a four-year old boy, Myles, and the creatures with whom he
shares his Grenada vacation home. While Myles’ dad never quite understands the
nature of these friendships, he finally embraces Myles’ pesky friends when they

Written by Brad Martin retired Chairman and CEO of retailer, Saks Incorporated.

the company grew to become one of the largest retailers in the United States.
Martin also co-founded Corporate Child Care Solutions, which became
the leading employer-affiliated child care company in the U.S.
“My goal in writing MYLES’ PESKY FRIENDS was to bring attention and focus to
the wonderful country of Grenada. My family and I have greatly enjoyed our
experiences as part-time citizens and want to help tell the world about the special
people and places of Grenada”.

Mr. Martin lives with his wife and children in Tennessee and Grenada where he is
engaged in a variety of business and philanthropic activities.

Managers Cocktail - April 12th 2010

The Owners and Managers of True Blue Bay Resort have a cocktail with its' guests. Its a weekly event at the dodgy dock

True Blue Bay Resort, Grenada April 14 2010

Yesterday we had the most amazing sun over Grenada

These rings are caused by ice crystals within thin cirrus clouds, and there several different kinds of sun rings you can see depending on the weather conditions
When you're looking for halos, or rings around the Sun, make sure you always shield both eyes from the Sun. Even looking at the Sun for an instant can cause permanent eye damage.
